The following errors can occur when editing a date of an event.

Start Date & Time Invalid.
End Date & Time Invalid.
Ticket sales cut off information is incorrect
The start date and time of the event is in the passed
The end date and time cannot be before the start of the event
Ticket sales cut off date needs to be between the start and end date and time

If this happens it means that the either the start date of the event is in the past, or the ending date of the event is before the starting date.

Ticket sales cut-off-dates occur when the date is in the past or the cut off date is after the date the event ends.
